“On entering a church, or in passing before the altar, kneel down all the way without haste or hurry, putting your heart into what you do, and let your whole attitude say, Thou art the great God. It is an act of humility, an act of truth, and everytime you kneel it will do your soul good.” (Fr. Romano Guardini)

  1. When I kneel down before the Altar, no matter what else is going on, in that instant, it’s overwhelmingly just God & I. I know He is there, He is listening. Many times I’ve struggled not to cry because I was to be a Lector. (A privilege I have always loved! )
Kneeling before My Lords Altar is the most humbling, loving yet healing experience I have felt in years, with the exception of the Rite of Reconciliation, of course. Kneel with an open and loving heart, just listen to what God has to offer you. ♥
