  1. Ans: The Scrutinies are rites celebrated on the 3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of Lent within Mass. Reinforced by exorcisms, these rites intended to reveal and heal weakness, defects and sinfulness within the hearts of the Elect who are preparing to receive the three sacraments of initiation at Easter.
