Since today is the first Friday in September, my parish has Eucharistic Adoration until noon. With God's grace and providence, I was able to go and sit at the feet of Jesus. There is something so calming, reassuring, life-affirming about sitting with Jesus, looking up at Him and adoring Him, knowing that He has blessed me to be in His presence. All my Martha busy-ness melted away in the time I was able to be with Him. I love Eucharistic Adoration. It is the most tangible way I find to see Jesus, to be in His presence, to talk to Him and more importantly, to listen to Him in my heart. “Not to exchange the urgent for the important.” I love this line.
