Let's see if I can write a response here between my tears...tears of understanding, joy, and all those feelings about the kids growing up and moving on.

My husband has been pestering me to read this article since it first appeared a handful of days ago. He even "made" me email Theresa and let her know how much he loved the article. My husband, you see, is Chaldean (wouldn't it be fun for you and your husband and me and mine to have a sutffed grave leaves cookoff?!) and there is never a day that goes by when I couldn't pack my car with people and go to my mother-in-laws home and feed them because her stove is always just in case someone stops by with a carload of people! And my mother-in-law is 90 years old.

Thank you for this wonderful article and for the reminder of how precious and fleeting that time is with our family and friends and how food manifests our love in tangible ways.
