William,

No matter what words you use, there is no debate about the science. From the moment of human conception there exists a new human life distinct from its parents. It will never grow into a dog, cat or elephant. It will never become a rose or ear of corn. The moral imperative to protect that innocent human life is not dependent on that baby's dependence on its mother.

That life is a gift from God. He created that life for himself. He gave it dignity. He values it, even if you do not.

Gentlemen,
I have commented before and felt I was not correctly understood. I am trying again.

This question of abortion is very much a thorny issue however, it is my humble opinion that everyone, both pro-choice and pro-life continue to look at the issue from only one angle. Albert Einstein supposedly said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

If I may be so bold as offer what I consider to be a different slant; my final word.

http://wqebelle.blogspot.com/2010/09/abortion-my-final-word-on-unwanted.html

Deacon Bickerstaff, this is where "we first met".
http://www.integratedcatholiclife.org/2010/04/against-abortion-but-pro-choice/#respond

I wish you and the author all the best. In our own ways, we are all just trying to make the world a better place. God bless.

Fr. Pavone,

May God continue to bless your work and may we all find the courage and the voice to join you in the spiritual battle of our time.
