Anxiety

I spend a lot of time talking to people who are in career transition.  To their credit, many are optimistic and focused on [1]finding that next opportunity.  But, many others are feeling anxiety and stress over their job search or other challenges they face.  These good people need our prayers and active support as brothers and sisters in Christ.  This article by Fr. Joseph Esper gives a helpful look at the way many Saints dealt with anxiety and he offers strategies (which they used) to overcome their challenges.  What is making you anxious these days and how are you fighting it?

Some saints were as prone to worry and anxiety as the rest of us are.

 

Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests  be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 4:6-7
