Being a Dad is not easy.  Being a Catholic Dad is even tougher.  We have a calling, a vocation, to help our families get to Heaven.  We must be strong and faithful examples to our children and we must always be teaching and mentoring our children to love God, reach their full potential, have a good work ethic and have strong values.  The article below lists a number of great points about being a good father today.  Let us know if it resonates with you.  Why?  Why not?

Human fatherhood reflects the Fatherhood of God. St. Paul tells us in Ephesians 3:14 that from God the Father “every fatherhood, in heaven or on earth, takes it name.” Therefore earthly fathers have both the incredible privilege as well as solemn obligation to model the qualities of the heavenly Father to their children. Whether we like it or not, our children’s conception of God will be heavily influenced by how we as fathers model God the Father.
